Treatments

Aesthetic and functional nose surgery

  • Primary rhinoplasty

Bringing the nose into harmony with the patient's face and achieving a natural result, with no obvious surgical traces.

  • Secondary rhinoplasty

Correction of the problems left by a previous rhinoplasty, both aesthetic and breathing-related.

  • Aesthetic and functional goals

Many patients also have a functional problem to solve. In those cases, surgery improves both the appearance and the function of the nose.

  • Related procedures

Chin augmentation or reduction (genioplasty) is the procedure most often combined with rhinoplasty.

Why us

Dedicated to nose surgery

  • Dedicated to the nose

Our training is above all surgical: rhinology and aesthetic, functional, reconstructive and revision rhinoplasty.

  • International training

We trained with nose specialists from different countries, mostly working alongside them in the operating room, and every year we visit colleagues to keep up with the latest advances.

  • Computer simulation

At the first consultation, doctor and patient look at the same image, try out possible changes to the shape of the nose and agree on a common goal.

  • Publications and teaching

We publish in specialty journals, teach at the Hospital de Clínicas in Buenos Aires and lecture at national and international congresses.

Ultrasonic technique

We reshape bone with a piezotome: it cuts with micro-vibrations, with greater precision and less trauma to surrounding tissues. We have used it since 2017.

Travelling to Buenos Aires for your surgery

We see patients from all over the country and the world. If you'd like references from a patient in your city or country, we'll put you in touch.

  1. Consultation and surgery

The in-person consultation is on the first day and surgery is the next day. It's outpatient surgery: you go back to your hotel the same day.

  2. Wherever suits you

From the day after surgery you can return to your city by plane, boat, car or bus, or stay in Buenos Aires. We stay in touch on WhatsApp.

  3. Check-up

We meet again at the practice for the only mandatory check-up: we remove the splint and stitches.

Questions about rhinoplasty

Either local or general anaesthesia can be used. We prefer general anaesthesia, as it is just as safe and less traumatic for the patient. We only work with our own permanent team of anaesthesiologists, accredited by the Argentine Association of Anaesthesiology.

When the nasal bone needs to be reshaped, we use a piezotome instead of a chisel and hammer. It cuts bone with micro-vibrations while sparing the surrounding soft tissues: skin, mucosa and blood vessels. It allows finer cuts and less trauma. We have used it since 2017, in both primary and secondary rhinoplasty.

Light activities at home, after 48 hours. To go out, we recommend waiting 5 to 10 days. For intense physical activity, between 3 weeks and a month.

It usually isn't. Most patients don't take painkillers; the usual symptoms are mild discomfort and a feeling of nasal congestion.

The first 15 days are critical: while bruises are visible, the sun can leave a mark on the skin. For direct sun exposure, it's best to wait 30 to 45 days, and always use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen.

In the closed technique the incisions are inside the nostrils. The open technique adds a small incision on the columella that leaves an almost invisible scar. We choose the open approach in the vast majority of cases, because it lets us better reproduce the result we are aiming for.

The cost depends on the complexity of each case. Contact us and we will send you full pricing information.
